I always found radio setups for playing sound effects strange.

I never understood why they wouldn't just use a mapable midi keyboard coupled with one of the computers already there... you could potentially program infinite sound banks and have 88 or 66 or 44 keys to trigger the samples from..

Yeah this. And why go for the overpriced Instant Replay? People still use them though. One of the TV stations I went for an interview at had two.

You know how I always say I have no use for a tablet? After a few minutes of playing with an iPad at the Apple store I wanted one.

I remember reading how some stations still used fucking beta tapes in the 2000's That blew my mind.

I guess the cost of changing over a system like that is crazy
