The Shannon Burke Show Listening Thread February 19-22 2013
I don't think it's OK, but I respect their right to do so if the business chooses to.
And I must disagree - if you're a business open for public operation in these United States, you can not discriminate against potential customers based upon their race, creed, religion or sexual orientation. Federally-guaranteed protection against discrimination doesn't disappear when you enter a business to conduct a transaction.
So you think it's ok for a business owner (of which I am one) to refuse service to any person for any reason - even if that reason is because of bigotry, racism or otherwise?
Yes I do. The market place will take care of it. Contrary to what people believe, the majority of people are not racist to the point they would do this. And if they did do this, would be very quick before word spread about said business, and it would go out of business. Then maybe one of these people that were refused business could start their own business for this service, and the racist or whatever asshole can eat shit!.
