Yep, they get paid the same whether its his bullshit trial or a real one. They are probably pretty happy, they get paid and get free entertainment win/win for them. I would have loved to be on thid jury A) for the circus value and B) My job pays me my full pay for up to 30 days if I'm on a jury.

My work does the same. My boss wouldn't really care..but he knows how many times I have gotten out of jury duty, so he would be like, "seriously, you wanted to do this?"
