More than a show behind but a few things:

-I don't know what Danielle was thinking, or know why that caller brought up the Carmin thing BUT...what I do know is this seems like one of those things someone is looking to take advantage of to stir shit and cause dissension. It's bullshit as far as I'm concerned. The best thing to do in a situation like that, I think, is to resolve the matter off air, one on one. Danielle is a class act and I can't see her slamming someone on her same team. Although I fully support clowning someone on your own team if they're as much of a douchebag as MJ. Just saying.

-Meredith being...not the sharpest tool in the shed is in no way an act. She was late to court in the MJ trial, called Bubba's audience "unrealistic" when she probably meant something like "crazy" or "ridiculous," and was playing with her hair like a caricature of a dumb blonde stereotype during sidebars. So Danielle, if you're out there, it's no schtick and thank YOU for not falling into that dumb girl on the radio stereotype. There should be more women on air like you.

-The waiter is there to do his fucking job, not to get in someone's grill, as they say, because they said something he didn't like. It's up there with someone who forgets your straw.

Wait a second. Eric Deggans, the same Eric Deggans that was telling Bubba he perpetuates negative stereotypes and wrote a book on race was making racial jokes? I hope they were tame.

While I agree that it's career suicide to sing the national anthem for some singers if you screw it up - I disagree on the principle that a real singer should be able to sing the anthem live IMO and not screw it up.

We forget that thousands have sung it without incident. We only remember the screw ups

It is a pretty thankless endeavor to be honest.

Also I like Drew talking about the trial. I like hearing any other broadcaster's take on it as well. I've seen people online that like other shows but don't like Bubba root against him. I want to shake them by the collar and tell them that this doesn't only threaten Bubba, it threatens any show they like and it threatens their own right to talk bad about Bubba or anyone else online if taken to it's logical extension. Some people are so spiteful that they will root against their own best interest.
