I never check my account, until one drunken night a month ago I randomly did. Only to find some boopity in Philly spent nearly a grand of mine at Toys R Us and Giant.

I got the funds back immediately, but I have no idea how that happened (I'm pretty fucking secure with shit on the internet).

It probably wasn't stolen online. Card readers at stores man. People are taking your info all day, just takes one shady fucker to be pulling those into a DB. CC numbers sell for a looooot of money.

edit: Shit most CC's have RFIDs that contain the data on the card now. You can get pocket RFID scanners cheap that just capture all that data.

Yeah I try to pay only in cash in person. Online I use middlemen like google's wallet or paypal that way I have extra people to yell at.

I had that happen about 5 yrs ago. Had some charges for LL Bean on my Amex! Was all for extreme cold weather shit! I called Amex and said.."hey, I am in FLA..the last thing I need is Female extreme cold weather shit. Was like $2700 worth! Amex worked with LL Bean and the cops, and arrested them when it was delivered!
