For web dev that's low, hell I routinely par contractors 50-75/hr.

WE have coop students at work-I think they get like $14 an hr. But we do end up hiring quite a few when they graduate. Mostly software engineering.

Yeah, but that is contractors. I tell ya man, here in FLA, Web dev dudes..like entry level get maybe $15 an hr if they are lucky. At like an insurance company or something like that..maybe $17-20.

Like when I do 1099 work..I charge like $125-150 an hr..but sure aint gonna get a full time gig at that rate.

Yeah I guess cost of living needs to be taken into account, too.

Side note - my condo in Kirkland (WA) is right down the hill from a huge Google engineering complex, it's fucking huge. Great cafeteria!

Or even better, you can have a web guy who conned his way in to the job and subsequently crashed everything in record time! I miss Tudds.

Well yeah..that's what happens when the hiring person thinks maintaining a FB or MySpace acct is web dev and is impressed by such!
