Newsflash to people who are (rightfully) supporting Gary Johnson. Even if you get 5%, they won't be given equal anything. It might get some tiny bit of recognition, but what is most likely to happen is bitching from the Obama and Romney camps about how Gary is messing up their fun time.

That's worth it in itself. Doesn't the Libertarian Party get some federal funding with that 5%? Not that they could ever compete with the big two but it's something.

In theory they get equal treatment, meaning a seat at the table if you will. Proper debate access, funding etc.
