It's not so much riding Bubba's coattails but using him for self promotion. Which is true, and a lot of us got sick of his shit.

Well..locally here..bubba prolly has the edge, and that what that is referring to IMO! You don't hear Hooty gettin Bubba chicken sammiches around town here!

And the way Bubba spun it today seemed geared to local shit..which IMO has always been his problem about being syndicated elsewhere.
