While I get the reality of that, there has to be a better way to get rid of some of that stuff.

oh we didn't throw out a lot. when stuff went out of date and it still looked ok we would just grind it into hamburger meat or cut off the greenish parts and put them back out for another day. pork and chicken we would marinate and put it out for another couple of days. grocery stores are a shady business
