I think he honestly assumes he has some sort of pull with the "cowhead name" or something. Which is even more embarrassing. For all of Bubba's faults I have been surprised many times with just how widespread his "fame" is. Cowhead on the other hand is barely known in SWFL, let alone nationally.

Not that it is bad to be a local jock only, but the ego is just ridiculous.
