my friend was watching a movie online on his TV and it looked like shit - I was like how is this even better then VHS? just rent the fucking movie

Yeah, I've played SNES/N64 games on mine. Some look better than others.

snes looks about the same if you use some of the built in features of the emulator. You gotta keep it at 4:3 ratio too

the funny thing is the old school vector and raster graphics do look better if you have a good mame setup. some of the games look slick as fuck cause it re-draws the pixels to match the res of the monitor

some of those old games actually had amazing graphics but the monitors just couldn't draw straight lines like they can now

yeah we're talking emulation...

not using an actual snes - why use the real one and wear it out? - my n64 is like brand new still in the box and I even kept the fucking pastic for the console and the controllers

one of my controllers is 100% brand new not used still

one thing that does look good is .cbr's

at least they scan those at super high res now

My SNES is my oldest and most reliable piece of electronic equipment I have. Well except the NES but that needed a bit of work and I haven't had it as long.
