i gave up on the online im doing loads of shit in story mode

What do you mean can't? Can't find where to make one or it won't let you? If it won't let you maybe you need to be in a closed session? I don't know why but it is GTA Online so at this point I wouldn't question it

Yeah that shit was happening to me yesterday when the rockstar "cloud servers" were acting up
