Despite the announcement by Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie on Saturday that the BLM had agreed to cease its actions against Cliven Bundy, the BLM now states that they played no part in the deal and will continue to pursue Bundy “administratively and judicially” for the $1 million in grazing fees they claim Bundy owes the federal government. “The BLM and National Park Service did not cut any deal and negotiate anything, there was no deal we made," states Craig Leff, spokesman for the BLM. Bundy has made it abundantly clear he has no intention of paying the fees, that he doesn't acknowledge that the federal gov't even exists. “I abide by all state laws. But I abide by almost zero federal laws,” he explained. So we are headed towards another confrontation, and surely the feds will have a different plan the second time around.
