The reason the BLM is removing the cattle is that Bundy stopped paying the grazing rights fees some 20 years ago. That's why they are called "trespass cattle".

Anybody who stops paying the fees to the feds for ranch land is a fool, even if the grazing rights go back 140 years.

Or maybe there was the ...U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) involvement in the Bureau of Land Management’s land grab, which was meant to push out American ranchers such as Cliven Bundy in order to make way for Chinese solar farms ?

I see the BLM's and Harry Reids plans as viewing the land as reverting completly back to the feds as Bundy had not done his part of the bargain.

Spaz, I am as Republican/conservative as most people can be (and still call themselves a teacher). I have worked on a large ranch on Federal land, and the piper demands his due. There are consequences for actions, or in Bundys case, inactions.

There is a long backstory to this case. Check out the Las Vegas Review Journal archives. The RJ is a fairly balanced/conservative newspaper.
