you guys have some weird radio system down there - that #1 song would probably be in the urban/dance catagory, not pop up here...

or at least it used to be that way...

But the 80's at least had some kick ass bands as well!!! It is for the most part garbage in the top 40 shit now.

I'll disagree with you there - it was all one hit wonders, JUST like today... lol

the bands that lasted through the 80's - began before the 80's...

except depeche mode, and the cure - I can't think of too many other top 40 type bands (like excluding metallica and stuff) that made it out of the 80's
