That's shitty. Sounds like a cut and dry case. If worst came worst he could have his company pay for everything and then sue the other guy's company. It happens all the time. It's called subrogation.

Yep, other dude had shitty insurance as typical and my buddy has everything, uninsured, etc etc. Total bullshit IMO.

Yeah in that case he's pretty much out of luck unfortunately. If the guy has minimum insurance then he's a broke dick. Blame the state in this case for mandating such low limits to begin with. Fl doesn't even require mandatory Bodily injury which is a complete joke.

So then what the fuck is the point in paying for uninsured/under insured to cover the shit? Fuckin scam IMO!

Um/Uim covers bodily injury for yourself if the other person can't pay. Fl does not offer UM/UIMPD which would fix you car if an under/uninsured person hit you, but if he had comp and collision he should be fine. If he didn't he's screwed.
