Bubba Army Radio Listening Thread 3/21-3/25

I wrote this on SFN earlier but will post it here as well.

Bubba is trying to run a million dollar company on a shoesting budget.

First on BubbaArmy.COM he is using FREEWARE software called OS COMMERCE. OS Commerce sotres all credit card info in the database IN CLEAR TEXT. Throughout all this hacking talk today there has not been a single mention of shoppers credit card info possibly getting compromised.

Second RadioIo is using FREEWARE software called ICECAST to stream their audio, thats why ANYONE can listen to Bubba Army Radio for FREE is they know the correct URLs.

Third the RadioIo Website is using the freeware WordPress software for their main site. While wordpress isnt bad again it is FREE software, not commercial grade and thus the issues they have been having.

Why is ALL the stuff used to run Bubba Army and RadioIo run using FREEWARE? As long as Bubba is running this freeware he is going to have these issues! Why can't Bubba understand this?

There is an old saying that it takes money to make money. Bubba hasn't obviously learned this lesson.

Russ just PISSED ME off with all of his BULLSHIT answers and sounds like the most incompetant asshole on the planet, he should be the one Bubba is yelling at not 25 Cent!

25 Cent was trying to be a FRIEND to Bubba by not telling him about the issues because he knew Bubba had too much other Bullshit going on. There is NO REASON why Bubba yelled at 25 like that. It should have been Russ on the other end of the stick no 25.

25's Job is to take the orders from the website and put the shit in the boxes and mail it out. His job is not the webmaster. What h e did when he noticed a problem is notified the person who handles the website who then passed the buck to Jason. Russ should have followed up with Jason to get things running, not 25!

I am starting to think the Entire Bubba Company is the Blind leading the Blind.

Bubba has unrealistic expectations about what he should get for what he's willing to pay. He even outright admitted he doesn't care about the web dept. and has scoffed at what experienced web guys wanted to get paid. I'm not saying Russ is in the clear, but what he said makes sense. They need someone full time.

That is the issue. Again hes trying to run an INTERNET COMPANY without anyone at the helm who knows anything about running an INTERNET COMPANY.

He should have an entire staff just working in IT as it is what his business does. His show is not a RADIO SHOW. It's an INTERNET RADIO SHOW.

There's no arguing that him and Bean need to make this a priority. The point you made earlier about the paid stream EASILY being pirated for free (and this is 100% true) REALLY pisses me off personally. People who own stock and pay for the stream deserve nothing less than to have that stream secured.

yeah me 2.and the fact i need to try and find a way to get fm shows to download other than on my $300 paid account is shitty also.im bummed out about that.

Download updates have been slow as shit. Another inexcusable problem.
