Yeah, but for an eviction, you don't have to go to court. All you have to do is serve her, for lack of a better term, a notice to vacate premises in 30 days. I have done this before.

But I do understand how lawyers work, and I'd bet her lawyer got an extension which kind of sounds like they may try to get more than the prenup for marital assets.

Prenups are good, but I don't think any of them are totally iron clad, as anything can be contested, as you know. We shall see I guess.

They are elected as well, they are on every ballot just about! Though not sure which level is which.

That's a referendum on whether they should be kept or not. The results go to the chief admin judge and he/she decides what to do.

I'll give you that, until your ex-wife gets an atty because she no longer likes the custody arrangement and wants to move. Then she gets some hack atty to file an emergency hearing, like mine did.

I got a notice on my door when I came home from work telling me I had to be in court the next day on all kinds of baseless allegations of abuse, lack of food, letting my kids play with assault rifles and other bullshit.

I didn't even have time to get an atty, but luckily I had a counselor that had visited my house several times for my GF, (now wifes) kid who wrote me a nice statement. Was enough for the judge to postpone the emergency injunction.

Then my atty I got tore their shit apart and my ex and her atty almost got their asses in big trouble for making up shit and filing false accusations because she was no longer happy with the divorce decree.

So in the end it was awesome! Sorry for the long story!

Was a good one. Did you have to pay attorney fees? Because you could have filed a motion to be reimbursed by her for them.

He told me I could have tried to do that, but would probably be best just to get the fuck out with what I got, so I did.
