Yeah, I went to Ft Bliss for a week and it's also pretty crappy. Now Ft. Sam Houston, that place is badass. I spent three years there.

I asked for Ft Carson or Ft Lewis in WA while I was in Korea and they gave me Ft Sam

When I came back from Germany I had orders for Ft Carson, but diverted to Airborne school. While there I did everything I could, including talking to the Signal Corp commander at Ft Benning to divert to Ft Bragg. No go, he said for some reason, you are pinpointed to Carson and no changing it. Was a cool 2 years.

When I was getting ready to get out they had me scheduled for PLDC and then three years at Ft. Hood if I reinlisted. I think you know what decision I made

My next assignment would have been Korea if I re-uped. They wouldn't let me because of my hip issue, but I said fuck that anyhow. Then of course I went through 4 yrs of VA telling me "there's nothing wrong with you, but we do want to do surgery on you"

So were you medically separated/retired? Or did you just finish out your original contract?

My term was ending, they wouldn't let me re-enlist and just said I need to follow up with VA. What a crock of shit that was. Got denied 3 times then finally a traveling board was in St Pete I went in front of. Mind you at this time I had already had one hip surgery and they wanted to do the other. The head of that board was basically like "WTF is wrong with this picture" Approved my case on the spot. Still declined to have my other hip surgery. It made the one I did have just as bad, just in a different way.

I don't know that it's fake, but it is definitely way way over "diagnosed" for every kid that is a shithead. OR from a Dr as an excuse to try for a parent to get full custody of a kid! Trust me on this one!
