I work for a company that is probably the most liberal out there. I don't agree with any of their philosophies, but they pay well so I don't give a flying fuck what their views are

I was just having this conversation with me youngest son. Debating on what he wants to take etc. My advice to him: With my career, I can damn near go to any city in any state and about any country and get a pretty well paying gig. Choose what you decide to do accordingly.

When I got my Master's in 2005 my company gave me what worked out to a $5/hr raise for no additional responsibilites. I about shit myself when they called me into the office, I thought I was in trouble for something and they hand me this paper with my new pay scale on it and I was like OMFG.
