Blame your buddies in studio for the PIP bullshit there Bubba. Personal Injury Protection in Florida was on it's death bed and all the high powered Personal Injury lawyers got it reinstated. Get rid of mandatory PIP, you get rid of a lot of the insurance fraud, ambulance chasers, and shit like 1-800-ask-gary.

Uninsured Motorist coverage (in Florida) only covers injuries to a person by someone without insurance. It does not cover the damage to your car.

Brian is 100% correct on the Uber deal. You have to have a commercial "Livery" policy if you want to drive for Uber.

Here's how the Uber deal works...
Uber driver is driving around town waiting for a customer, he's using his own personal insurance. Once he accepts a fare, Uber's umbrella policy kicks in and his personal insurance is now null. Once he drops the customer off and gets paid, his personal insurance kicks back in.
