Bubba the Love Sponge listening thread Dec.6-10 2010
I got a feeling Sirius is gonna sign Bubba.I just hope there's a better Sirius deal.Go back to live afternoons!
I think Bubba has begged himself right into accepting whatever they want to offer, like some dirt cheap we'll replay your FM show deal, and that's it.
Fuck, with how many Friday's he missed this yr, they would be stoopid to even consider having him do that. Might as well just say they are going to play old Sirius replays and we know what we will get each week.
That Sal crying bit sounded fake man.Sal also said he heard news of the new deal in the elevader going up...
You think? i don't thinks so. I think Sal fell for it hook line and sinker. They set it up with what he was told in the elevator was a what could happen scenario, not what is and that Howie is about to say what the deal is. It was great!!

I think Bubba and Sirius interpreted his days off differently and Bubba won. If he gets a similar deal, you can bet they won't make that mistake again.
Oh wait, this is Sirius we're talking about.

He said earlier that they hope to get afternoons on Sirius.Did I hear that wrong?
After he finishes up his FM contract perhaps. And if he abandons the radioio plans, all the early adopters will get screwed over. If he goes back to Sirius XM full time in 2012, the radioio subs get screwed over that way too, because Sirius XM will not allow Bubba to be on that platform. There's seriously very few ways this could work out well for everyone.
And you know what? Given the choice between scenarios, I'd much rather have the plan that allows me to conveniently get show downloads and a fuckton of other Bubba material unrestricted by Sirius XM's outdated business model.

Yeah true, hell, he may get the same deal with twice as many Friday's off!!
Say he did do three shows a day. The shows Sirius would get would be more lacking in energy than what we got in 2008, and the FM shows wouldn't be as good as they were back then. Although thankfully, there would be no huge election this next year to use as a crutch.
