hey guys...got a question and u guys seem to have the answers.BTLS savants..anyway,i've been listening to archives and enjoying it. I'm at 08/28/06..its good stuff. The question is in regards to jason ellis,it sounds like he was a mizark. I'm hearing him beg bubba to get him on sirius and just markin out in general..new to this whole twitter deal but saw one that said "fuck the btls" or something close to it and have a friend that listens to him now and i guess there is some bad blood...can anyone fill me in?

It's a long and storied past with those two. It started when Ellis had a guest that was sort of bad mouthing Heather, and Bubba was upset that Ellis let it go on.

More recently they had a truce at one point. They made all nicey nice on the air, and Ellis at one point sounded like he was in one of his emo moods saying how Bubba was a pro, and Ellis had a lot to learn, etc. Pretty much agreeing with Bubba.

Then Bubba made plans to come out with the Ned Dragons shirt as an homage/parody, which he had told Ellis about and had gotten the green light prior.

However Ellis must've forgotten or decided to ignore it, because he started his shit with Bubba again and released a hideous "Blubber Army" shirt with fat rolls in the chevrons. And his fans were saying that the shirt, a PARODY shirt, was infringing on some copyright despite RDS' history of releasing similar parody shirts. Parodying Motorhead, Judas Priest, Coca Cola, and various other brands. And you can't own the 中 symbol. Then Moses Itkonen who owns RDS jumped in and got himself involved on Twitter.

If you ask me, Ellis has let butthurt ex Bubba fans, O&A fans and O&A themselves work him into a shoot. Much like people on Twitter have worked Bubba into a shoot. Ellis is very stubborn like Bubba. Those two have more in common than they would admit. Ellis shit talks Bubba quite regularly, although you'll have to ask someone that listens like 1C if it still goes on.

BL might remember more details if you want. Oh hell, "might," who am I kidding. He remembers more about everything.

thanx for the scoop...this ellis guy any good? prejudice aside??? i have heard that he works with the bully beatdown guy,jason something or other...that guy seems a little out there.

on a side note,can i search threads (idk if thats the right terminology as i didnt grow up with this technology) or previous conversations so i dont have to bother u guys with shit that u have already answered a million times??

Ellis' show is too fucked up to follow. I've tried several times--usually don't make it an hour. Just not for me. Give it a listen and form your own opinion. On Sirius--Jay Thomas is the best show. I mainly download Bubba shit to listen to on the road. As for the site--You'll figure it out.

I listened now and then before his hypocritical bullshit about the shirt. The best way I put it is, while I find him entertaining, he's still not experienced enough to have the polish guys like Bubba and Burke have. He can be pissy (but who in the genre isn't) and lack content (again, who doesn't sometimes), but he's great at bullshitting with guests. His interviews are very natural, while Bubba and Stern can be awkward. His attitude has put me off to his show, possibly for good. And I know for a lot of Bubba fans, they feel the same way.

You can search by clicking "search" in the bottom navbar. But don't worry about asking things again. There's usually at least one person that can answer logged on at anytime except maybe really late at night/early in the morning. I'd rather have someone ask something for the millionth time than not say anything.

Also, how did Bubba keep things together for so long and now in the last few weeks he has to take personal days. At least I have Burke.

Hey guys, I don't think I'll be listening to the show today. I have heard these shows prior (Toys for tatas) and to me, they just don't translate well over the radio. I can only take "Spice my god look at that one" or "Jesus Brent can you believe that one?" for so long, I just don't think Bubba gets the whole visual being presented in an audio medium deal not working, but whatever. Then they interview the dancers and that is like nails on a chalkboard. Guess I'm getting old and taking the Manson approach and tapping out on this one. Y'all have a good day and I'll get back on during the Burke show.

I think they're fun shows to end the year but I get what you mean. It's not for everyone.
