Morning guys...

You missed the big news from the show this morning... Bubba said that the show has another 5 1/2 years to go them him and Manson are retiring from radio.

Sounds like they got a new contract from COX for 5 years, as it was just two weeks ago Buba was tweeting he was gone in January.

I think this is GOOD news... I think Bubba was worried about paying the bills and now at least he knows he has a steady paycheck for the next 5 years.

Whats it mean for RadioIO? Thats a good question as so far Bubba and the gang have put almost no interest in their premium radio show, its almost like RadioIO is an after thought now.

Was it just that fleeting statement? Because he talks about wanting to retire in a few years quite often. If that is in fact the case I'm surprised. Cox and radio companies in general seem to take their time signing talent to a new contract.

Nope as someone called in and asked him about it after he said it the first time. He then said he wasn't quitting radio in 5 1/2 years him and Manson were retiring. It was not a fleeting statement.
