I'm glad the guy is still trying this long after I first heard him on the radio a decade+ ago, he's always entertained me and we hold a lot of the same interests (other than apple products

) so when he gets to do a show on his own, it is definitely something I will attempt to listen to.

Will be funny when Tuddle has the best "ratings" on mixx though...

No Bubba, I'm not glad the wife "got out", I wish the mother of that girl DIDN'T get out. If you *let* your significant other beat the shit out of your kid like that and do nothing I'm not exactly going to feel sorry for you one bit when you get smacked around. I submit the opposite.

If you would allow your child to be beat on like that, you should get at least 2x that back for the duration she endured that abuse.

So if the daughter was severely beaten for 10 years you're owed at least 20.

edit: This is not to suggest that tapping your kid on the ass for correction is somehow abuse, but what is on that video is certainly over the fucking top.

This is basically the situation I grew up in. My mom was a battered wife, but she never left or did anything to protect myself and my three younger siblings. She basically just caved and developed Stockholm Syndrome for my dad. When my mom passed away last year, I felt nothing for her; still don't.

Needless to say, this is why my father and I don't speak anymore. The ironic twist? He's a career-long police officer and a well-respected "good christian" in my hometown.

It's one of the main reasons why I don't want children. I refuse to repeat the cycle of abuse, no matter the cost. The beast is in me - I feel it every day. My anger is very powerful... and I couldn't live with myself if I ever let it out on a child. As I've grown older, I've found ways to suppress it and keep it back. But... I just can't take the risk.
