Had a guy offer me 25k for my yellow lab at a hunt test when she was 2 and just passed her last leg of her Master Hunter.
Told him to pound sand
4 litters 7 dogs average per litter 2 k per puppy.
= more than 25k

Feild Trial male labs have been sold for 200k.
Stud fees, Frozen semen. Means you're going to make a lot of it back.

14k is way too much for a "pet" though.
