I'm not saying that's the case, just something I think might be possible. Bubba can sometimes be a bit gullible for a guy that comes off as quite cynical. But don't get me wrong, he was and still is a dick to a lot of fans that dare have an opinion that things are anything other than the best they've ever been and feel he should be putting in more effort. He shouldn't have signed the deal if he wasn't willing to follow through. And I imagine the retirement talk is coming from a place where he knows people aren't going to trust any lofty promises from him again.
