I don't get the AM simulcast thing. Isn't the point of having more than one station in a market to have multiple formats to get maximum listeners?

Like someone posted before, that had to have cost him probably a million dollars or so. I don't know very many people that can take a hit like that and soldier on like it's no big deal. I mean for god's sake he is making the guys do extreme couponing to save a few bucks, so it should be interesting to hear his take on this tomorrow.
