Yeah, and he did mention it last week I think..at least that he was having this party. I got no issue with it..at least he says it and doesn't leave it on Rick or Colin to LIE for him.

While this shit would never fly in the real world. I don't have a problem with it. Just so long as it doesn't become a habit.

Why? I ask my boss to bail early for a lot of reasons. He knows I always put in extra so he don't care. Now if I was always late, not getting projects done, etc, it would be an issue. I think it should be based on the individual, not some fuckin corp policy.

Welcome to my world, If I want to bail early, I have to submit a temporary schedule change and make up those missed hours on another day of that week, and just because I submit that change doesn't mean it will get approved and I could get fucked out of the deal.

I am both actually. I get paid straight time for overtime, but only if it is approved and not part of my normal duties. Well my normal duties require me to upgrade, change shit I can't do during normal business hrs. So like I will work 3 hrs on Sunday, but only work 5 on Friday.
Or we can choose for the most part. Like last week I was called at 1 AM and ended up working on shit til like 3:30, that wasn't even my issue. So I could have charged OT for that, or just left at noon that day, which I did. To me, it all comes out in the wash. |

Yeah it aint bad. But trust me, I work a hell of a lot more hrs than I put down after hrs. But it's all good. Now if it was to change and they said I have to be here from x to x with a certain lunch time, I would say fine. Do not call me when there is an issue, and do not expect me to work on weekends. So it is a win win.
