I get the grooming Spice to take over, but this whole "abbreviated schedule" bullshit will not work, plus he really didn't mention IO much past the next year and a half they are contractually obligated to fufill. I think IO will spudder for the next year and a half and that will be it, just my guess, but who really knows?

Yeah. He doesn't have the pull yet to make that happen. Also it irritates me that his idea of moving on is leaving his name on the show while dumping the hosting burden on Spice.

Yeah, you could tell Spice wanted none of that shit (kinda like his restaurant as well). Sounded like Spice wants to actually do a show when Bubba retires and not rely on tired old bits and parodies to fill the time and carry the day.

Let me be clear. I don't think radioIO is going anywhere as a company. If anything some larger streaming media company will gobble them up. They've somehow survived a decade not turning a profit. I also think Bubba will stay on at least until the end of his FM contract.

I have the feeling Howard is just paying Bubba lip service and won't end up doing shit in regards to internet radio. Except maybe selling the rights to air his old shows. Stern on IO would be a good thing for the company, but I don't think it's likely.
