I'm sick of that rumor making news. They just know it'll get attention and page views.

It isn't really a rumor though. Howard himself has said a few times he has received offers or interest or whatever. But the media runs with it as if he is returning to testicle!!

On an unrelated note, I really, really, really, really loathe the term "testicle radio." Some caller said it and people ran with it. It just gives me serious douche chills. But no harm, no foul.

Because they know it gets people's attention. It's all a negotiating ploy anyway. But no FM station in their right mind will let him work the schedule he wants and and pay him the amount of cash he wants.

RBR-TVBR observation: Stern will likely stay with Sirius XM, he may be just posturing as the negotiations continue. Looks like if he does stay, however, he will be paid less and be required to work less – a win-win for both. The is a possibility that he could end up doing both, a la the Opie and Anthony model, but that would likely mean more work for him in the long run. Also, advertisers are pretty gun-shy these days about shock jocks.

That I could see happening more than a full return, but it's still unlikely.

And I mentioned this to someone earlier, but it's 2010, can we please put the term "shock jock" out to pasture? It's outdated and doesn't properly describe Howard and Bubba's shows.

Pardon me!! Actually, I have used that term as it relates to networking since I was in school in like 94!! You know T-1, T-3 circuits are referred to Terrestrial-1, 3, etc.
