well - I can name many - DOA is still touring, the original canadian hardcore punk band
AFI - yes they were once considered punk
dropkick murphys
NOFX
plus a PLETHERA of this new screamo shit that I personally don't consider punk but that's where you find it in the stores.. - I've seen My Chemical Romance in the punk section...

but that's a whole other argument - is Punk really Punk now? When the kid screams louder then a metal bad ass and then his buddy sings some lovely chorus - is that punk? apparently so...

and relevant is all in relation to what circle you run in...

turn on Sirius 26 and listen to the indie scene or "college" scene as some call it... you will wanna put your head under a pillow and scream - cause you don't like that shit - but half those songs on there end up being the next alternative top 40 radio hits

this has been the case for a long time as the commercial plot gains more ground
with every cross over band or every band labeled as something they are not.. as they morph
all the socially acceptable music into one super genra

I was reading - no attempting to make english off all these new genres...

it was insane - and half of em are the same fucking thing but one band uses electronic drums only so they get their own genre...
