Bubba the Love Sponge Listening Thread December 10-14, 2012
And if anyone gets through all that, good for you.
We had this same conversation last year Chob. Last year we hoped the new studio would breathe life back into the show, unfortunately that didn't happen, instead, he cuts the Io show by 75%, this year was filled with bits, bits and more bits, various infomercials and some good people either being fired or walked off the show, only to be replaced by sub par talent. I will not be the least bit suprised if 2013 is his last year on any form of radio.

Cpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.

The Cox contract goes for one more year right? Or there was at least an option for that additional year.
Now I would be surprised if it is his last year. He's still dominant in his markets. Just because you feel the show isn't what it could be doesnt mean others still find it entertaining. You hate bits, good for you. A lot of people are apparently fine with listening to those bits either because they havent heard them as much as you or they still take those bits as entertaining. As long as he stays on top in his markets, he will have his radio gig.
He's going to scale back on io massively though.

I forget when he re-signed, but it was a three year with an option for a fourth. Who's saying Cox wants to keep him around though, especially with the bone's horrible ratings nowadays...

I have no doubt he'll stick around a few more years.
