So funny the bone holds ratings in high regard. Do they really mean anything anymore? I mean fuck, people either listen or don't, and most don't listen that long. Too many other options IMO. Why it is so funny Bubba brags about being #1 in Tampa mornings. Really? Is there anything else if you want this type of radio? What happened in all the other markets? Didn't make it, yet it was the board ops fault, managers fault. never the content now was it?

His show will NOT work going into anew market in it's current state. Spices would however.

To me it is because broadcast radio is still in the dark ages. They still think their core audience is a local market. That simply isn't the case anymore. IMO they fail, and personalities fail to realize this.

They have to suckle at Arbitron's teat so they can sell advertisers on their numbers so they think lots of people will buy whatever crap they're shilling.

Yeah, I get why they do it..it just simply isn't the facts of radio or entertainment period anymore. I'm no media genius, but that sure seems to be the way it is to me.
