pawn shops rule. I traded in this bullshit beginners guitar for an awesome Martin that was in great shape, I think I paid $50 for it.

even better....I got a call from the pigs a few weeks after that because my trade ......someone went into the store and reported it stolen (which was impossible as I was the original owner and like 18 and not a thief/boopity).

The shop I worked for and the corporate chain in general operated on the principal of loaning anywhere from 40-60% of new retail depending and selling the item for 65-75% of new retail. Some mom and pop shop will rip you off, but the big chains are pretty fair to be honest.

This laptop was bought at a pawn shop. Some punk used a student loan to buy it at the local college and pawned it without ever turning it on.
