I went thru in 94 and they would verbally dismantle you, but nothing physical at all. They actually had to tell you if they were gonna touch you to like adjust your uniform or something like that. They called us the "Nintendo generation".

Cpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.
Shit when I went to Airborne school, them poor infantry dudes that just finished basic, and chose to go to Ranger school, when they came to get them after Airborne, made them low crawl from our barracks down to Ranger school, with all their shit.
I thought you had to be 18 to enlist? I'm pretty hazy at the moment, yesterday was a blur. My dumbass decided it'd be a good idea to throw a party at the big house in the compound and there are like 10 cases of empty beers, the jacuzzi is all messed up and the dog definitely got fed some beer because he's all wobbly. And my head is pounding.

I know it's a rib. And not back then, as long as you had a parent consent. Fun spending my 18th BDay in bootcamp. Not sure if it is still the case now.

Yeah, you can still go in before 18 as long as you get parents permission. A lot of kids graduate at 17 and go straight in.
