When you use the term conservatives and liberals though, Thanos, it suggests you believe those terms actually apply. Conservatives aren't conservative, liberals aren't liberal, its all a big joke, and people who buy into it are wasting their time.

So conservatives don't exist? I don't see ads with people claiming to be conservatives? I don't have neighbors, family and friends that shout about their conservative ideals until I want to strangle them?

I believe "conservatives" exist, but only in the political sense.

For that matter, I don't see people running around saying "I'm a liberal". This liberal / conservative battle is a propped up piece of dogma that the supposedly nonexistant conservatives use to incite their base.

Don't get me wrong, I think Shannon's a hell of a talent and puts on the most consistently good daily show on IO. But come election time he's turning the show into a soapbox for him to rag on dumb Obama voters (like you could find for Romney if you went out and interviewed people on the street), pump up Romney, sweepingly declare there's no such thing as election fraud, etc.

I get he comes from FM/AM radio and most recently a conservative talk station. But know your audience and get back to what made people like the show. You're going to alienate a portion of the audience every time you talk politics. It sucked when Bubba pumped up Obama in 2008, and it sucks now with Burke.
