Just Cause 2 - Review (xbox360)

I just finished my first round of Just Cause 2 for the xbox 360 and....

HOLY FUCK!

This game is pretty solid. It's a lot like Farcry with the open island setting, but it's also has a lot of the mechanics from mercenaries2 - the Black Market which drops supplies at your feet, the ability to blow up massive amounts of stuff. Which in turn help unlock more black market items and abilities and upgrades.

Also like mercenaries, you can hijack vehicles and helicopters. In fact the hijacking sequence plays out exactly the same as mercenaries2

The part that is a bit of a head scratch-er is the fact that you have a bionic arm with a grappling hook... ok they don't call it a "bionic arm" but it's the exact same thing... you can grab onto passing vehicles, enemies, building... you can even use it to attach one end to an object and the other end to your vehicle for maximum towing carnage and other possibilities...

Graphically the game looks nice - and has some of the best looking underwater graphics I've seen lately...






Over-all (so-far) I would have to give this game an but that might go down a rating or two as the game continues....


the weapon system is a bit clunky and confusing.
