I laugh at the gubment job stereotypes. I mean find ways to use less people and shit and everyone just wants to get their shit done.

Well, IMO it depends on what part of gov. In the fed there is a lot of waste and way too many people and bureaucracies. As is the case in most states it seems. And maybe it is me, but everytime I have to go to a gov facility, be it DMV, clerk of court, whatever, there seems to be the laziest fuckin people working there. Always seem to be moving in slow motion!

Every place is different. Just depends on the guy you put in charge of managing the services. But generally the higher the branch of government the worse it is because of how much it takes to maintain personnel and staff.

Plus, I think there is a lot of attitudes like "they can't fire me, so I'll work as slow as I want" And it seems from the outside looking in that management just sucks compared to most businesses, which I think is because there really is no bottom lines to meet financially really.
Like back maybe ten yrs ago, a lot of businesses were bloated with management and a lot started trimming middle management especially. In the gov sometimes it seems like there's more managers than people doing the work. |

That's how my department is 7 managers 14 employees total. We let go of 6 employees 3 years ago and haven't rehired since. None of them were managers. And that not being fired thing is a myth in Florida. Theres no unions in government work other than police, fire, teacher but I don't consider them government employees to begin with those are lifestyle choices tbh.

Man, that is ridiculous...7 managers for 14 people. You should have 1 maybe 2 if one is like director level! And it also pretty much guarantees there will be no where for employees to advance to!

So, with all this social media bullshit going on at the BRN do you guys think that they are making too big a deal out of it? I for one think they are. I read that Lebron blog and while he came off as douchey on the debrief today his blog is kinda interesting. Bubba needs to realize that he is a public figure and anyone can say whatever they want about him personally or professionally. He's starting to sound a little like the midget, but instead of suing, he wants to kick this dude's ass (or at least have his minions do it). I think the best thing he can do is stop talking about it.

Man, with all the issues facing this country right now, it really sucks Obama seems to be doing nothing but campaigning! They need to pass legislation that the pres, regardless of party, cannot be using all the gov resources for campaigning. That is a hell of a lot of TAXPAYERS money from BOTH parties he is spending to re-elect himself, all in the name of some bullshit like pushing for this yet another stimulus package!

I've read a couple of that dudes blogs back when he was first brought up, like how losing J Ville and Orl really matter more to Bubba for his free advertising for BRP. I can kind of see how someone can make that point. If he doesn't want to deal with the shit, ignore it. |

Sorry to hear that. I was off last week and spent most of it buying, cutting, painting and installing baseboards and door trim. Plus other jobs that needed that last kick in the ass to get finished. Meanwhile my new motorcycle sat in the garage waiting to be ridden.
