My metal shop teacher in HS was a total nutjob. He'd yoke kids up daily it seemed. Move quickly through the shop with molten metal in a vat yelling "hot stuff hot stuff move it" Laughin just thinkin about it.

you sound like my oldman... everyone else had parents that'd come to school and yell at the teachers, sticking up for their kids... not my parents, my parents straight gave the teachers permission to kick my little ass

I was disciplined (often) but never abused. Everytime I'd get home, I'd just say the school day was good. No problems.

It creates something that society is now lacking--respect.
