They have chips in em, so no one can make apple cables for half the price. Therefore you have to pay top dollar for apple exclusive cables.

that those cables AREN"T made by apple...

and the new cables are the same price... I've never seen a difference

mugsy let me ask you - if your truck came with factory door locks - would you change them for aftermarket locks that would let people in your truck with a masterkey?

that was apples answer to lawsuits about bootlegging (which windows is still getting sued to fuck over)

and that chip simply allows output of video - if there is a micrchip in it - you can emulate that chip on your computer...

Apple endorses them to make their cables for a cut of the profit, gives em the program to activate the chip so they'll work.
