I don't mind that it has dark meat in it. That usually has more flavor and moisture anyway. Last year I roasted a chicken so I thought I would try something different. If it sucks, I eat turkey sammiches for a week. I also have a gorgeous Porterhouse on deck at some point this weekend.

I usually only eat the dark meat. this breast roast the wife got was surprisingly good. Not all dried up and shit as normal. Now with the real turkey tomorrow, all dark meat for me. Plus ham that I am makin.

And western I guess. We always had it growin up, as did friends, but my mom is from the south so maybe that's why we did.

I did a big ham for the holidays last year. Loved it. Place I go for lunch has a baked ham special on a regular basis.

I always have to slice what I think we will eat and then a little extra, then stash the rest. Otherwise mys sister will fuckin snag it.
