Late night thoughts from me as I listen.
Hand shakes are a bullshit social..."tradition"...I guess?, that needs to go away. I already don't like doing it when I meet people I'll be seeing again, I hate doing it even more when I know it's just a hollow gesture to someone I'm only going to see once and never talk to again. I have no need to shake your fucking hand.
I want to move to Japan and do bows instead. Bowing is a decent way of showing respect without skin on skin contact. The Japanese have shit figured out.
Well minus blurring their porn. Shit is weird.
Shaking hands has gotten this ridiculously important status, and people even give tips on the appropriate ways to do it for different situations. The content of your conversation and truly connecting with someone is more important than a fleshy germ exchange. Get some friggin perspective.
