What I always say to people about the immigration issue in this country is, go try to sneak into Mexico illegally, see how that works out for you motherfucker.
Enjoy Tijuana assrape prison.
Eggzactly! Or india, China, pakistan, and all these other fuckin countries we just seem to let any fuckin person that can get here from stay!
Yes, but this doesn't mean we have to give citizenship to every piece of shit that enters our country illegally for the sole purpose of having a kid, so they are a citizen. The 16th (I think) amendment needs to be changed. It was not the intent for any fuckin person in the world to sneak in here and start a family!
And of course, bleeding hearts will blame us for deporting the mother. You are right Thanos, the mother should have had to take HER kids with her when deported!
This is where I'm torn Milk. I totally understand your point. And yes, I do believe people should be deported when they're here illegally. Yet, when there's a child born here, or when a child is brought here and raised as an American, my stance changes.
Ultimately, my answer is that our immigration / naturalization process should be streamlined and quickened. It takes too long for people to be granted citizenship, hence why they just enter illegally. Plus, an immigrant child is never at fault for being brought here or born here. Our immigration office should have specialists that work these kinds of instances on a case-by-case basis.
whatever happened to "Give me your tired, your poor. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"?
do you guys hate AMERICA or something? Oh wait I forgot these people aren't white.
heh.
I have 0 problems with us adopting that as soon as we:
- Pull all of our troops home from abroad to properly defend our borders from those who would seek to do us harm.
- Remove a large portion of the lobbyists and politicians in general and replace them with those who have yet to be fully corrupted.
- Bring our economy back up to a point in which we can actually properly support those who we have CURRENTLY, let alone those that want to come in.
- and finally, fix the immigration system so that people are screened before they even step foot on our soil, and streamline the process so that folks aren't spending YEARS trying to get in legally.
Soon as we get those things done, I'm all about helping some tired hungry and poor from other countries, but the ones that are legally here RIGHT NOW are who I'm going to focus on for the time being

While I agree that isn't the child's fault, they still should have to go back home along with their parents and gain entry properly. I'm not saying you throw them out with the bloodbucket, but no longer than a 6 month stay (barring medical issues) should really be considered "okay".
This obviously would be after the streamlining took effect, we all know the situation we have at this time isn't optimal.

But why should we be granting ANY one that wants to come here citizenship? Does ANY other country in this world do that? Fuck no! The laws used to give citizenship to persons born here have been badly used, and was NOT the intent. We seriously need this addressed.
It was never intended for people to sneak in here, have a kid and gain automatic citizenship, yet that is how it has been used. And it is seriously ruining our country. If you don't think so (not you personally, but in a general you), then go to these peoples country and do it.

It's causing a ton of problems. I readily admit that. No argument here.
Streamlining the immigration process is key. Then again, that would hurt mega corporations that make profit off hiring illegal labor. It'll never happen. Too many fucking lobbyists in Washington with too many politicians that can be bought.
It is quite a bit less about the illegal labor and more about bringing us as a whole to 3rd world status. Same shit they've been doing in Europe, they just started in North America first.
They just wanna roon shit until there is nowhere left on earth to go to but shitholes.
edit: while they continue to use guys like Sam Simon and PETA to lock down "nature sites" and take more and more parks away from us, more and more land from us to develop, etc. Until we're all in archologies and the rest of the earth is one big preserve for them to play in.
