I really think this anchor did the right thing. I'm obviously in the minority, but I stand by my opinion. If you're going write a crass, arrogant email like this viewer did, don't be surprised when your target retaliates.

None of this fame being heaped upon the anchor is her doing. We can thank a media that would rather report on fluff pieces than real news. Bubba is just as guilty as anyone else. If folks would shut up about this, it would be a non-issue.

I'm with you on this. The guy that sent the e-mail also sent a reply that was equally as insensitive. He sounded like a complete dildo. I have defended Bubba on boards that call him Blubber, Tubba, Fatass etc. and now he thinks it's ok to do the same. I just don't see any reason to be a dick about it.

My question has been why is a fucking news anchor all of the sudden a role model to youth that must lose weight to live up to someone's expectations? Your kid will be a fatass or not, regardless of what the woman on TV, who they probably don't even watch, looks like.
