Before I forget, I need to take a shit on Bubba's anti violent video game rant. I played violent video games with both of my kids, and neither of them has ANY problem separating the game from reality. As a matter of fact, it'll be one of the memories they have of their old man after I've passed on. Playing video games helped BOTH of my kids stay OUT of trouble, and provided them with a lot of friends, helped them develop excellent social skills, and was CERTAINLY a positive experience.

That is all. End of rant.

For the most part I agree Pete. But some parents just use the video games as their 24 hr baby sitting service and have shitty parenting skills, which is more of why their kids turn out like shit. Add in the video games as their mentors, I guess it could add to it.

But your right, my kids have played all of them, and they certainly can separate them from reality. I tried playing with them, but I suck too bad!!

I blame the parents, not the video games. Nor do I blame TV, the internet, etc. That's just too convenient, takes the focus off the real problems, and I don't like it when people, even Bubba, point the finger at that kind of stuff. Call out the parents.
