B-Fudd is funny. I'd love to hear him host the show in Bubba's absence.

You might want to reevaluate your life when a 62 is dressing you down on live radio.

Yo Cpt, you see this? I thought the law pretty much already covered this.

Yeah, I remember hearing about this "Imprinting" or accidental showing of your concealed weapon as well. I thought the same as you when it came to the law. I keep my little S&W .380 in my front pocket, so I don't think I'll ever run the risk of it accidentally being seen, but when I used to carry my .45 in the small of my back I always worried about it accidentally being seen.

I'll have to read the statutes again, I'm pretty sure it has some thing "intentional displaying a firearm in order to intimidate" or something like that. You know, like Bubba does driving down the roads.

790.10 Improper exhibition of dangerous weapons or firearms.—If any person having or carrying any dirk, sword, sword cane, firearm, electric weapon or device, or other weapon shall, in the presence of one or more persons, exhibit the same in a rude, careless, angry, or threatening manner, not in necessary self-defense, the person so offending shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
History.—s. 1, ch. 4532, 1897; GS 3272; RGS 5105; CGL 7207; s. 5, ch. 69-306; s. 743, ch. 71-136; s. 2, ch. 76-165; s. 174, ch. 91-224.

Sounds like the officer was overly aggresive.

That B.S. will go away with open carry if it passes.

Thanks Amigo, I thought so. So maybe this is just within Sheriff Depts to not arrest people. Cuz we all know just because it isn't against the law, doesn't mean you won't be arrested for it and have to deal with the courts for BS!

Even if we did have open carry, I wouldn't. Pretty much takes away ur element of surprise IMO, and I don't think most criminals would be that intimidated by it. But to each their own if it does pass.

I'm not a fan of open carry either, but I'm not gonna stop anyone if they want to do it themselves.

Very few benefits to open carry. But it's OK. I read that 45 states allow OC, the latest being Texas.

I don't think it's 45 states, hell I don't even think 45 states have reciprocity with conceal carry, much less open.

But yeah Texas law went into effect Jan 1 with all kinds of people carrying weapons. Saw a lot with 6 shooters like the old west. Go ahead, pull a revolver, hope you are deadly with that thing, cuz when you run out, a lot still have 10 shots or more left.

When I was in Arizona and saw people open carrying, it was a little weird to see first hand, it was like the wild west out there.
