i enjoyed the 1 time i had jury duty

Mine started out with everyone in a big room and they asked each person to stand up and say their name and occupation. Then the lawyers in the case picked who they wanted on their jury. The main case involved a new beach resort suing the builders/contractors. It lasted a week and 2 days and they ended up settling out of court but it was fun watching the whole judicial process.

The only part that sucked was when they dismissed the jury for discussions between the lawyers and judge.

IT WAS! Thank you for confirming my hope that it went out over the air. One of the many perks of Kayla's job is that she gets to fall victim to many pranks in which the result is her getting farted on by me. That was the first time I was able to pull it off on the air, as opposed to during a break or before the show.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "nothing," but you make a good point. While good numbers can give you some protection (and bad ones can lead to vulnerability), there are far more impactful factors that can bring an abrupt end to one's broadcasting career. I learned early in the game not to get too wrapped up in ratings. When they're good, I'm happy because my bosses are happy. When they're down, it honestly doesn't bother me that much as they'll typically rebound. 2 months into the new lineup & our afternoon drive show has held the #1 ranking for our key demo. There's certainly room for growth in all demos, but everyone seems happier and that's what matters. Revenue is far more important than ratings when it comes to career longevity.

I'm glad you guys feel like it's a happier work environment. I'm also kind of glad that there might be a bit of a radio war going on because with those, the fans generally win.
