My inlaws have a place in Cullowhee, NC right down the street from Western Carolina University. It's beautiful up there, but it's hard for younger people to live up there because of the lack of jobs. Most people that live up in that area are retired Floridians :jj:

Yep, same issue we ran into when those same inlaws gave us some property in Blairesville, GA which is not far from that WCU area. We were gonna put a little cabin on the land we were given, but now it's a small subdivision filled with $300k+ homes, so our land sits empty with a for sale sign on it :jj:
