I personally want to say Bubba handled this poorly, I agree with your decision, and hope Bubba, Cox, and the other hosts realize just how much of an asset you can be.

You bust your ass for the Drew show and it shows, I see nothing wrong with the increased pay you wanted for this SAW, along with some sort of guaranteed money. Anyone who doesn't understand can quite frankly get bent.
